not great pic, but attemtping to show what cold does to my hands. Blister-type things as well as discoloration. And they hurt.

Same as above, but cloer. Maybe I can get one in better light sometime. Looks worse in person, for what it's worth=)

General photos of where we live

Some of you had expressed interest in this area so I thought I would post some photos of the yard and the walk to the mailbox.

This first set of 4 is from the front porch, right to left

Far right, Crabapple and a few rhodies

One step over

And another step, flowering cherry and assorted rhodies. You can just barely see the young lilac behind the white and light pink rhodies

Last step to the left showing the red rhododendron and the downed willow that came back to life

'Straia is in the flowering cherry in front Tuzebl is ready to catch her if she falls

Pollux climbed up - but he is scared of heights!

These next ones are from around the back and sides

This one shows the cherry and apple tree, also plum and blueberry bushes. The deer love to eat these particular trees!(my dad's plants)

This is my dad's Gingko tree

Lilacs and Golden Chain as well as the rhubarb and whatever else grows there! You can see the edge of the carport and driveway on the left of this photo

Next set is from our walk to the mailbox, and no I did *not* take pictures the entire way!

Indian Plum in bloom this is right across the drivway from the carport. You can't quite see the wellhouse in this one. The kids like to play in that part of the yard.

Down the driveway to the gravel road we go - we're off on an adventure!

Here's the first leg of the walk it curves a few times so you can't see it. Though half a mile is a bit far to see details anyway...

This is on the way back, showing a different part of the walk.

Almost home, we made it! (This is the end of the driveway near the gravel road. Just to the far right edge is a neat little mossy area with a hollow stump. It's a good place for alone time in the early morning, and the stump is excellent for treasure hunting
