22-250 Remington Bull Barrel
This action started life as a VZ24 for Romania.
I drilled and tapped for Weaver spacing and cut
away the strip guide. The Brownells bolt handle was Tig welded to the barrel stub while using
heat sinks, wet rags and paste.
I'm using Warne bases and rings. I replaced the safety.
The barrel was turned from an E.R.Shaw blank, 1.25 diameter. I left 5 inches for a breech section
and in front of that, I turned the barrel to 1 inche diameter. The step crown was cut allowing 26 inches of
length and the action
was sand blasted and blued.
I remounted the barreled action into this slave stock for test firing.
Just a simple square step at the breech.
