This cemetery dates back before 1875. Burials were discontinued roughly between 1910 and 1920, when the cemetery land no longer remained in the family.
The names listed are only a few people that are known to be buried here. There are roughly 15-20 unmarked graves in a very thick section of the woods. The cemetery is surrounded by several very old Cedar trees.
James Arnold, born 1795, died 1887.
Charlotte (Rowland) Arnold (James' wife) born 1800, died between 1865-1870.
Josiah P. Arnold (son of James) born Feb.27, 1817, died March 31,1893.
Mary Elizabeth (Melton) Arnold (wife of Josiah) born 1818, died Nov.23, 1891.
Ida (Holland) Berry (wife of Horace Newton Berry) born Aug.20, 1875, died between 1900 and 1901.
Hansel Holland, born 1833, died June 2, 1883.
Phebe (Arnold) Holland (wife of Hansel) born in Jan. of 1841, died in June of 1913.
(I believe Phebe was one of the last people buried in the James Arnold Cemetery.)
