Dear Dad:

Gosh, I have so much to tell you.

Mom's been kinda sick the past couple of days. Something called post nasal drip or sinusitis or something. It gives her a sore throat, I guess. So me and Mac have been trying to make her laugh and keep her smiling even though she doesn't feel good.

I lick her a lot in the face. After all, that makes ME feel better when I don't feel good. And, while she's lying on the couch, I want to be close in case she needs anything, so it seems best when I lie right around her face.

Mackie's real concerned, too, and he comes to check a lot. We've got a system worked out, especially because he has a bum leg. He'll stand beside the couch, look at me and bark to tell me when to check on Mom.

We bring her munchies, too. I even pulled out the cow's hoof from under the couch and brought it above ground. And Mackie brought over the rawhide bone.

She must be feeling better because she hasn't been lying on the couch lately.
