Sunrise at Poipu Beach, Kauai

The first 24 hours in Hawaii were a trial.

We mad a midnight run to the emergency room when Jennifer had an asthma attack.

That was quite an experience, since the only person in the house who knew where the hospital was happened to be Grandpa Ollie - who is blind!!

So, with a prayer, a can of Coke, and a lead foot, we managed to drive straight to the hospital (doing 60 m.p.h. on those narrow island roads) with no directions!

God hears prayers, believe me!!

The morning after our emergency room run we decided to take a trip to the North Shore.

Half way there we had a blow out!

We "limped" back into town on a worthless spare and bought two new tires for grandpa's car. Never did make it to the beach that day.

But during the rest of our stay, we spent every day at the beach.
