RESOURCES Especially For Threes

Hello! On this page you will find resources especially for three year olds. Julian just turned three on May 17th and so I shall be adding to this page throughout the year.

One item I have really been looking forward to adding is a theme unit about the five senses written by Marsha Rozalski. It's a week long unit for age three and up, very hands on, no worksheets.

There is a literature based Pre-K progam by Sonlight that looks interesting. I don't think there is such a thing as reading to your child too much and so I felt I could easily add it next September to what we're doing already. Let me share with you what I've learned about this program.

All of the books for Sonlight Pre-K can be purchased directly from Sonlight at a cost of $225.00. A free catalog can be requested from the Sonlight Web site and you can see a listing of the individual books or you can browse their online catalog. Some people prefer to buy the books used, some people check them out from the library, and some people buy some of the books but not all of them.

There is the Sonlight Preschool discussion group that is active and the moms there are quite helpful in sharing their opinions and experience with Sonlight Pre-K. Occasionally, discussions about the curriculum as well as other topics regarding parenting little ones, can become quite lively!
