Would you like to know?

I would like to ask you a question..."Do you know who Jesus is?"
If you don't, would you like to know?

Jesus was born a long time ago to a woman named Mary.  His birth was
a miracle.  It was a miracle because Mary had never been with a man before.
She was a virgin.  Mary had conceived a baby through a miracle of God.
This baby would be the Messiah for all people.   He would be
the Savior of all people for all times.

Jesus Christ was "God with us".  Everything that Jesus was made known
to us everything that God was. He was the son of God, the only
Son of God.  God had sent his son to this world to save His people.

Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life only to be killed for supposed sins
he had committed. It was most unfair, but it was God's plan.
An innocent man, innocent blood, had to be sacrificed to bridge
the gap between God and His people.  And the bridge was built
through the crucifixion and resurrection of His only son Jesus Christ.

If you would like to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, consider this ....

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God"
No one is without sin, no one.  This includes you and it includes me.

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

This death is not physical death; that would be too easy.  This death
is eternal separation from God in Heaven.  That may not seem important to you if you're not a Christian, but it will mean a lot when you have died and face this "eternal separation" from the one who created you. Hell is eternal and it will be terrible, but the greater hell is never ever being able to live with our Father in Heaven.

Romans 5:8  "But God proved his love for us in that while we still
were sinners Christ died for us."

Wow, God loved us, even though we were sinners. And then to prove that
love He allowed His son to come to this world and die for us.  Not for Him,
for us.  If you really think about it, that is true love.  And he loved us
even though we have made mistakes and messed up over and over.

Romans 10:8-10  "But what does it say?  'The word is near you, on your lips
and in your heart' (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim):
because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will
be saved.  For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and
one confesses with the mouth and so is saved."

"Have you ever been asked, 'How do I become a Christian?'  These verses give you the beautiful answer -- salvation is as close as your own mouth
and heart. People think it must be a complicated process, but it isn't.
If we believe in our hearts and say with our mouths that Christ is
the risen Lord, we will be saved."

Would you like to receive God's gift of eternal life?
