To gain true understanding of autism, you need to have knowledge of other people's experiences. Hollywood is beginning to take notice of the 400,000 people with autism. Doug Flutie and Dan Marino have contributed to the interest also. When I began researching autism back in 1987, I went to the public library and there were no books to read and no videos to watch. I was hungry for information. We live in a city with over 50,000 residents so it wasn't a small town library either. Take advantage of this opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding, one that I didn't have. Also, please email me with your suggestions to add to this list.
