Husband's Notes
Christen and Barbara were Anabaptists (Mennonite). Christen was among a group of men who were imprisioned on 12 Jan 1709 and released from a Berne prison on 18 March 1710. This group was exiled from Switzerland with some going to Germany and Holland. After the death of Barbara, her property, which was confiscated on 23 November 1691, was compensated by government order and given to her son Peter Fankhouser.

Johannes Fankhouser emigrated to America on the ship Mortonhouse. The ship sailed from Rotterdam, via Deal, England, leaving Deal on 15 June 1728 and arriving in Philidelphia, 24 August 1728 just 5 days before Johannes 36th birthday. No record has been found of Johannes Fankhouser in Pennsylavania.
