[UL: Mrs. William Wade Dies:UL] Highly Respected Greenup Township Woman Passes Away Mary Elizabeth Hyper was born in Virginia, September 15th, 1819 and departed this life April 1st, 1909 at the home of her grand-daughter Mrs. Robert Gable of near Walla Walla, aged 89 years, 6 months and 16 days. She was united in holy bonds of matrimony with William Wade in the year 1836. To this union were born nine children, four of which with her husband preceeded her to the better world. She leaves to mourn her departure five children, viz- Mrs. Martha Henderson, Mrs. Vesta Havens, Harry Wade and Wm, Wade all of near Greenup and Rev Pleasant Wade of Oblong, also nineteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grand children, besides a host of other relatives and friends. She united with Christ when a young girl. She was an affectionate, loving ???? and a good helping neighbor and a faithful sympathizing friend always doing all the good she knew. Her life was full of christian acts of kindness and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
