Jobe Duce was born 7 September 1829. On 7 Arpil 1850 he married A. Elizabeth Hughes. A. Elizabeth Hughes was born 2 January 1830. Their daughter Sallie Francis Elizabeth Brown Duce was born 18 January 1863.

John Hughes married Martha M. Lee (b. 1843). Children were Ruth who married Bob McBehee, Willie who married Sam Measles; Mae who married John Bradley; Lillie who married Keener Myhand; Morgan who married Eva Sawyers and had Jay Hughes; Plevner who married Mr. Atkinson; Stella who married H. R. Lucas; Joanna "Aunt Jo" who married Robert Lindsey.
