Guilford County

Guilford County was formed in 1770 from Rowan and Orange Counties. Greensboro is the county seat. The Register of Deeds has birth, death and burial records from 1913, marriage records from 1872, land and probate records from 1771. The Clerk of the Superior Court has divorce and civil court records from 1840. The Courthouse burned in 1872, but many older records are still available.
