Archelous Hughes, father of Jane (Jeancy) (Hughes) Fulkerson, was born in Goochland County, Virginia about 1744, and died prior to 26 January 1797 in Patrick County, Virginia. He was married in Pittsylvania County to Mary Dalton, daughter of Samuel Dalton. Date of bond: August 20, 1769. Bondsman: Will Tunstall; Signer of Certificate: Samuel Dalton; relationship: Father.
