� More About the Keelers of Greenbush by Harry D. Blanchard � ����������� In the story immediately preceding this we made mention of Franklin Howard Warner, a native of Harlem, Leeds county, now residing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, father of our dear friend, Major David M. Warner, aeronautical research engineer of the United States Air Corps at Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio. Franklin Howard Warner is son of the late Amos Curtis Warner, born at St John�s Island, Upper Canada. On May 18, 1819, and his wife, Sarah Alford, daughter of Amherst Alford, the pioneer of Harlem, Leeds county. Amos Curtis Warner was the second child of Ralph Warner, born in Connecticut, Jan. 19, 1794, and his wife, Clara Keeler, born in Elizabethtown, Upper Canada, June 15, 1798, to the Rev. Sylvanus Keeler and his wife, whose name has not yet been ascertained. Immediately here below we set out a genealogical table of the Keeler family up to the time of our youth at Greenbush. 1.����� Rev. Sylvanus Keeler, presumably born in Connecticut; first Canadian record of him appears in the proceedings of the Bay of Quinte conference of the Methodist Church in 1795; ordained a deacon by Bishop Richard Whatcoat, of New York, 20th June, 1801. 2.����� John Whitney Keeler, born May 7, 1793, died Oct. 14, 1865, lived on the homestead at Greenbush all of his life; was prominent in the affairs of the community and �no public meeting was complete without his presence.� 3.����� Calvin owned the adjacent farm, where he built a barn, planning also to build a house, but, after a brief illness, passed away in early manhood. 4.����� Hulda, married first _____Patterson; second, David Mallory of Mallorytown. 5.����� Nancy, married _____Purvis of Mallorytown. 6.����� Clara, born in Elizabethtown, June 15, 1798, died Kewanee, Ills, Aug. 12, 1879. � #2. John Whitney Keeler married Oct, 1816, Luck [Lucy] Pennock, born in Vermont, 20th April, 1799, died Aug. 25, 1860, daughter of Oliver Pennock and his wife, name unknown. Lucy came to Canada at nine years of age. 7.����� Lucinda, April 10, 1819; Feb. 12 1903, birth and death dates. 8.����� Olive, June 30, 1822; Dec. 28, 1880. 9.����� Delilah. May 8, 1824; Sept 8, 1883. 10.� Elizabeth, Mar 6, 1826; May 24, 1868. 11.� James, Oct. 12, 1827; Mar 9, 1829 12.� William, Sept. 9, 1829; July 30, 1835. (? Maybe 1835 or 1934, he couldn�t have died after this article was published.) 13.� Adeline, July 20, 1831; not date (Mrs. Bellamy). 14.� Hiram, Feb 10, 1833; March 1833. 15.� Charlotte, June 29, 1835; Oct. 15, 1882. 16.� Catherine. Dec 10, 1837; no date; married Anson Manhard. 17.� Laura, Feb 2, 1839; Dec. 29, 1839 18.� Sophia Feb 20, 1842; July 4, 1880. 19.� John Morton Keeler, Dec. 12, 1844; Nov. 6, 1928. #6.� Clara Keeler, married about the year 1816 Ralph Warner, born in Connecticut Jan 19, 1794. 20.� Amos Curtis Warner, born in Elizabethtown, May 8, 1819, died Grinnell, Iowa, Oct, 3, 1890. The other children were Sylvanus, 1817; Hester, 1821; Rhoda. 1824; Nancy, 1826; Calvin, 1828; John, 1830; Marilla, 1832; Orman, 1835; David 1837; Mary Ann, 1840. #20. Franklin Howard Warner married Sarah Ann Bickford, near Udell, Iowa, Sept. 27, 1877. 23.� Major David M. Warner, of Dayton, Ohio, born at Post Oak Grove, Indian Territory, Feb. 9, 1881; (Major Warner has many brothers and sister, of whom we have no record.) He married in 1920 Miss Garnett Jones Llewellyn, whose ancestry goes back to Wales. #23. A.M. Coleman, their son being Archdeacon Coleman of Kingston; Ordelia, born Aug 25, 1850, married John Lulmage Nov 16, 1875; Ella Sophia, born April 11, 1857; William, born Jan 22, 1860, died Feb. 18, 1860. #19. John Morton Keeler married Margaret Powell, Rockspring. 28.� Clifford, living at Ownig�s Mills, Md. 29.� Mary Lucy married E.J. Coles, Woodstock, Ontario 30.� Clara married Christopher Carruthers, Chilliwack, B.C. 31.� William Morton, Plato, Sask. 32.� John Calvin, Plato, Sask. 33.� Kenneth Powell Keeler, Brighouse, B.C. � In our next story we shall briefly outline the pioneer life of the Warner family following their departure from Leeds and we shall conclude with a concise summary of the noble life of the Rev.
