For most of my adult life, and the years of High School, I was the staunchest of Replublicans. I believed in the premises of the Party. I disagreed with the beliefs of the Democrats, and therefore was quite comfortable being a Republican. Of course, at the time my political leanings developed, Ronald Reagan was President and I saw him as a personal hero. (I still do.)
This said, I started looking for a party that more closely 'resembled' my personal and political views. What I found were two political parties that are so ingrained in the beurocracy of The Federal Government. Thoroughly seperated from those they claimed to represent. I went looking elsewhere and found

Within recent months, though, I have become disillusioned with Politics in general and began to look for something that fit more directly what I truly believed personally and politically. I believe that the less government there is, the better. The more government there is, the worse. I believe in the wisdom of the Consitution, and the limitations it puts upon the Federal government. I also believe that there is much that has been done, by both Republicans and Democrats, to infringe the basic concepts of The Constituion.
As a Christian, I believe that God gave everyone the Freedom of Choice. He never says that we must do anything. He allows us to make our own choices for our lives, wheter wrong or right. God does not require anything of us. Unless we want something from Him, such as salvation, He allows us to choose for ourselves what happens to us. With that in the forefront of my mind, I do not see how I can "require" anyone to think or act a certain way or do certain things. Whether I consider something right or wrong is of no consequence to someone else's choice to do so.
Personally, I find certain things absolutley appalling and wrong, but I still believe that everyone has the option to choose these things for themselves. I do believe that there are certain givens, such as murder, rape and other actions that hurt others or infringe upon unwilling others, that can be accepted as wrong and unacceptable to everyone, but in cases where the chosen actions only effects the individual and does not effect anyone unwillingly, then that is that persons choice. If it is wrong, I, personally, believe that God Himself will deal with the choices that a person makes in his/her life, and that these choices are between the person and God.
Simply, The Government has no place in personal choices a person makes that does not effect anyone unwillingly. And, that the Governement should get out of the areas of our lives it has already invaded!
