I lived in Ohio was at 810 Plum Street; Fairport Harbor, Ohio. (There’s only an empty lot there now.) I went to McKinley Elementary School (K-1st 9 weeks of 6th grade, 52-59 Nov. There I learned a deep respect and love of Maritime events, history and tradition.

I lived in was located at 4222 Harper Street; Perry, Ohio. (Nov. 1959 we moved to Perry.) I went to Perry Elementary School and then on to Perry High School where I graduated in May of 1966. Before I graduated I had committed myself to the Navy on the 120 Day Delay Plan.
