Preserve Flower Arrangements
After a wedding or party, there's always an abundance of leftover flowers
that no one knows what to do with. Well, why not save those floral arrangements
by drying them.
Materials Needed
- Floral arrangements-wreaths
- Bouquets
- Hair spray
- Silk greens
Step-By-Step Instructions
- Pull out flowers that will not keep or dry well from arrangement. For
example: daisies and lilies.
- Also, pull out the greens, as they will turn brown and will keep the
flowers from drying properly.
- Place arrangement in a dry, dark place. With rose bouquets, separate
the flowers so they don't touch one another, pull off the leaves and hang
upside down.
- When the flowers are dry, replace the open spaces left from taking
out the greens with silk greens.
- You can also use eucalyptus as a filler for rose bouqets.
- Spray hairspray on dried arrangements. This keeps the flowers from
falling off the arrangements.
Happy Crafting.
