Mauve and Tan Angel
Materials
- 14 inches(36cm) paper twist in color of your choice
- 9 inches(23 cm) tan or ivory paper twist 1-inch(2.5 cm) wooden ball
( predrilled) with ½ (1.5 cm) hole
- Narrow gold cord
- Gold-look wedding band
- Hot glue/ Tacky glue
Step-by-Step Instructions
- From the 14-inch (36 cm) piece, cut 5-1/2 ( 14 cm ) inches of colored
paper twist to use for the arms and untwist it.
- Fold the remaining 8-1/2 inch (22 cm) piece in half and insert the
two cut ends into the holes in the wooden ball. Pull 2 inches (5 cm ) of
paper out of the top of the ball and fold it around the ball to make a
hood.
- Slip the arm section between the folded paper under the head. Twist
the hand end so that the arms look gathered.
- Use the gold cord or ribbon to tie under the arms and around the back
( in an x-shape) to secure the arms.
- Open flat the 9-inch(23 cm) section of tan or ivory paper twist. To
make the wings, fold in one end of the paper to the center, and then fold
the other end in until it overlaps the other cut end. Slightly gathered
the center of the paper to make a bow shape and glue the bow together.
Glue the bow to the back of the angel below the neck. Make a hanger from
a loop of gold cord and glue on.
- For a halo, glue on the gold band.
