Votive Candle Holder

Materials Needed

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Measure around the can and divide into 8 equal sections ( EX-> 16cm = 1 mark every 2 cm.'s)
  2. Mark a dot on the rim for each of the sections, and mark dots on the bottom of the can at midpoints between the dots on the rim.
  3. Using a can opener, turned sideways, cut off the of the can.
  4. With your tin snips, cut a slightly curved path between the dots at the top to the dots at the base. This forms petals.
  5. Bend the individual petals back carefully to form a flower shape. Alternately, bending one up and one down.
  6. Using spray paint; paint the holder. This also seals the tin to prevent rusting.
  7. After the paint dries, put a votive-type candle in the center of the can.

This is a cute project, I made a set of them myself.

Happy crafting I sure do!
