8. Catherine HERB was born about 1772 in Ga.. They had 4 children.

She was married to Rev. John E. BERGMAN on May 7 1787. Rev. John E. BERGMAN was born in 1758. He died on Feb 25 1824. He was buried in Ebenezer Effingham County, Ga.. The inscription on his tombstone follows:
To the memory of Rev. John E. Bergman, a native of Peritsch in Saxony, who during the space of 36 yr. faithfully discharged his duties of Pastor of the Lutheran Church at Ebenezer. He ceased to breathe on the 25th of Feb. 1824 age 66.
Blessed are those who die in the Lord for they rest from their labor. They had 4 children only one of whom. his eldest son, Christopher F., survived him. He was interested in history, philosophy, natural science, classical literature. He had a knowledge of Hebrew, Arabic, and several other oriental languages. They lived at Ebenezer. Catherine HERB and Rev. John E. BERGMAN had the following children:

21 i. Christopher F. BERGMAN. He became a Presbyterian minister.

She was married to Council S. BRUNT on May 24 1828 in Lutheran Church of the Ascension. Council S. BRUNT was born on May 24 1828 in Lutheran Church of the Ascension.
