Joe Edward died 2 hours after his birth on August 29, 1978.

In His Mother's Words:
I never got to hold you or see you as so many things went wrong that day. You came two months too soon and they had to do a c-section but it was too much on you and me and your lungs and heart were not strong enough. I long for the day that I will hold you in my arms and tell you how much you were loved amd missed. I did not get to see where you were buried for over a week as I was too weak and the doctor was worried that I would go into shock over seeing your small grave. I used to visit your grave all the time. I long to hold you and was very upset that they did not bring you to me so I could hold you and say goodbye. They tell me you were a beautiful little baby boy. Your daddy was killed in a accident 7 months later on March 14, 1979. I pray he is with you now and that you are both safe and happy in heaven. Your brother Jerry and sister Alice were too young to remember all that happened back then. We all miss you and your Daddy Joseph Richard Garcia very much and long for the day when we can all meet again in heaven.
