- They have birth and death records from 1860-1899 and from 1907 to present, and marriage and divorce records since July 1943. Call for costs. For marriage records, you can also check with the Clerk of the District Court in the County where the license was issued. For divorce records, you can also check with the Clerk of the District Court in the County where the divorce was granted.

- Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00, closed Saturday, Sunday, and state holidays.
- They have newspapers, city directory records, 1860-1920 census records, large community and county history books, Montana history books, family histories, a list of dead and wounded from World War I and World War II, rosters of World War I and the Spanish American War, a photo archive, maps, old diaries, manuscripts, very few property records, a few naturalization records, marriage indexes and certificates, the 1864 poll list for their first territorial election, and the Sacred List -- a list of settlers in Montana in the winter of 1862-1863.
