i found this website while helping my son do a project on his family tree. i decided to sign the guest book because i am interested in finding some descendents of my mom and dad (my mom passed last month, 74yrs old)her maiden name was hawkins from al (her father worked for l&n rr) and my father is a polk from ms (his father raised 10 children farming, always worked for himself).

Hi Linda, Congratulations for a very complete genealogical tree! After going through this chart, I am convinced that you and I share the same (remote) ancestors. I remember my father mentioning names and places that appear on the list. I am originally from Massachusetts. My father, James Joseph, was born in Brockton, Mass, and his father, Adelor Joseph was from the Fitchburg/Leominster area, but moved to Brockton later. Adelor Josephs mother was Alice Dumas, rumor has it she was from Pa is. I know there was an adoption somewhere in the Lucier side, the name Goss is associated with the birth family.
