Adopted from IGCA Rescue in December 2001. Timber joined Ivy and Mistletoe at the Bridge on November 6, 2007. Her vet believed she was 14 - 16 years old.
I LOVED YOU THE MOST
I waited in line for my turn to come
When someone would look and say "You're the one".
I saw you enter, I jumped with joy
I just knew, to this place, I would say good-bye.
I saw the look of compassion in your eyes,
It wasn't til then did I realize
A perfect home I would find at your place,
As you lifed me up, I licked your face.
The rest of my days, I would live in bliss,
So much of your tenderness I have surely missed.
But now my days of sorrow have past,
I am in my "forever" home at last.
I knew with you I will be safe at all times,
I will be able to call you all mine.
I'll sleep in your bed, and cuddle real close
You will know that I love you the most.
And when the time comes for me to leave,
I know you will let me go with gentle ease.
With my eyes I'll thank you for all the happy years,
And wish I could stay to wash away your tears.
Remember on sad days, that I am close
