Crochet Hair Scrunchy Pat

Quick 'n easy: Take a covered elastic hair band, some leftover yarn
(Main Color) a bit of contrast if you like and a crochet hook
(size G or H works well).
Round 1: Work around the hairband (or ponytail holder...whatever you
want to call it!) (SC c 1) around to cover the hairband take 25-30 repeats for a large band. Slip
stitch in beginning SC. Do NOT turn.
Round 2: Sl St in 1st chain 1 space. (ch 5, Triple Crochet, Ch 1,
TrCr, Ch 1) in that Ch 1 space. (TrCr, ch 1) in each ch 1 space around.
SL St in 4th chain of ch 5; if using contrasting color, fasten off.

Round 3: If using contrast color, join in top of any Tr Cr; if not,
then just continue as follows: (SC ch 3) in each ch 1 space around,
join with a sl st in beginning and fasten off. Work in loose ends.

They work up quickly, and my daughters LOVE 'em (so do I).
I've made everything from pastels to brights to Christmas-y colors.
