Eiffel Tower - no trip to Paris,
however brief, is complete
without a visit to the Eiffel Tower.
This towering edifice was built
for the World Fair of 1889, held
to commemorate the centenary
of the French Revolution.

largest museums and receives more than
four million visitors annually. A vast glass
pyramid, (ordered by President Mitterand in
1981 and designed by the architect I.M. Pei)
marks the entrance to the museum.
 

Notre-Dame - this is the cathedral church
of Paris. It is considered to be the noblest
achievement of early Gothic architecture in
all of France.


Arc Du Triumph - a monument devoted to
Napoleons' and his generals' greatest
victories.
 

Sien River - the even flow of this river is
well suited to navigation and the river is an
important water route to and from Paris.
