upscale restaurants and five-star
hotels are all a part of it.  Here
you will find Petronas twin towers
and Menara towers.  A visit to the
observation deck is a must to have
a panaromic view of KL.


Menara - for a dramatic overview
of KL and the surrounding area,
take an elevator ride up the
1,380-ft Kuala Lumpur tower. On
a clearday, you can see the Straits
of Melaka from here.


China Town - one third of Malaysia's
population is Chinese decent and the
largest China Town of Malaysia is located in
Kuala Lampur downtown.

Masjid Negara - completed in 1965, the
national mosque has jagged 18-point star
roof and a 70 meter tall minaret.  The
points represent 13 states of Malaysis and
5 pillars of Islam.
 

Sultan Abdus Samad Building - its a
wonderful building designed by a British
architect and built in the 18th century.


Merdeka Square - look around in this
historic place and you will see Royal
Selangor Club, where KL's elite meet,
Sultan Abdus Samad Building, once the core
of colonial KL now houses the supreme
court.


Lake Gardens - a green retreat within the
city with 91.6 hectares of magnificent trees
and plants. Inside it is the Bird Park, an
aviary containing 200 species of bird. Here
you will also find the Orchid Garden.
