I Peter 4:8: "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves; for charity shall cover the multitude of sins:" II Corinthians 13:5: "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your ownselves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" My Web Site has been under review before being submitted to Geocities for an award. While I have both MSIE and Netscape, I mostly use MSIE, and before submitting my Site to a Sister to review for this award, I reviewed it myself using MSIE. Everything looked fine. There was no broken pictures or graphics anywhere and everything seemed to be just fine. So I thought, "Surely my Site looks great and it should have this award, so I ask this Sister to review it for me and then submit it to Geocities for this award just knowing that she would rave over my beautiful pages. Much to my surprise, a few days later, I received an e-mail from her telling me of several broken pictures and graphics. Again I went to the pages using MSIE, and much to my surprise, the broken graphics she named did not even show up on those those pages either broken or otherwise. The broken graphic most named was a (line.gif) which I remembered having deleted from my Geocities files and, I thought, from all my pages. I went to the source of one of the named pages, and sure enough, there was the code for it. But because I had deleted that file from Geocities, MSIE ignored it all together, therefore still showing a (what appeared to be) perfect page. It did not even show an empty space where that line should have been. On the other hand, Netscape picked up the code, and the file missing, showed it as a broken graphic. A day or two later, my wife and I had to go out of town and we were talking about what had happened and this was when I received this message. While both MSIE and Netscape were seeing the same file, one ignores it while the other shows it has a broken graphic, or a blemish in the page. I began to think of the two above scriptures with regards to these two browsers. MSIE reminds me of Charity covering the multitude of sins. As long as I was looking at my pages through MSIE, I saw NO blemishes. The thought came into my heart; "Lord Jesus, forever let me look on others using the vision of MSIE.
This way I will always see my Christian Brothers and Sisters as being perfect in Christ without any empty spaces or blemishes. But anytime I am looking at myself, always let me look using the vision of Netscape so I will be able to find and repair all my broken graphics. Another thing which came to my heart was this: As long as I was looking through MSIE, I was Home Free for I could see no faults, even as you can download MSIE for free. But as soon as I looked at the same thing using Netscape, I had to pay a price (There was work to do), just as there is a price to download the newest Netscape. So, let me use MSIE when viewing your pages for it covers a multitude of broken graphics, (I Peter 4:8)but let me always use Netscape when viewing my pages, (II Corinthians 13:5) and may we all do the same. God Bless All!!!
