Frank Crouser and his son, Guy
Frank Crouser (1870-1938) was the son of Henry Crouser and his wife Sophia Basser. Family tradition says that Frank fell into a river when he was about 11 and nearly drowned. Some folks attributed his small stature to the several minutes he went without oxygen.
The above picture shows Frank Crouser holding the reins while a horse is being shod.
Frank Crouser married Martha Hamor, and they had two children - Guy and Mary. Guy (shown on the right at about the age of 12) died of diptheria before Mary was born.
