QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q.  What does "drag" mean?
         A.  The idea isn't kicking and screaming, but that God will  have His
              way.  When God regenerates a soul and the person has come 
              alive, he gladly comes to Christ.  Like Lazarus in the tomb, 
              when he came alive, he gladly left the tomb, coming to Christ.
Q. Is Baptism required to be saved?
          A.  Baptism is required for salvation, but it is spiritual, not water.
              Water baptism is a sign of what has happened in the heart of a 
              believer.  Spiritual baptism is the real thing, done by God.
              Col. 2:11-14"In Him you were also circumcised with the 
              circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the 
              sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,  buried with 
              Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through
              faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 
              And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision
              of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having 
              forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting
              of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to
              us.  And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the 
              cross."
Q.  Why preach if God is sovereign?
          A.  The means for which a person is saved is ordained of God.
              Romans 10:13-17"For 'whoever calls on the name of the Lord  
              shall be saved.'  How then shall they call on Him in whom they 
              have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of whom 
              they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a 
              preacher?  And how shall they preach unless they are sent?  As
              it is written:  
              'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the  gospel of
               peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!'
              But they have not all obeyed the gospel.  For Isaiah says, 'Lord,
              who has believed our report?'  So then faith comes by hearing,
              and hearing by the word of God."
Q.  How do I know if I am one of God's Elect?
          A.  From the stand point of being "unsaved" and not coming to 
              Christ, unless we know we are of the "elect" is not  the position
              the bible takes.  The message is to repent and to believe on the 
              Lord Jesus Christ.  If a person continues in the Word, having
              an ongoing desire to please God, then he will be able to determine
              that he is of the elect.
