This is a poem my Mom wrote to
me on my 18th Birthday! (Yes,
I know it's almost an antique!)
I have carried a copy of it in my
wallet ever since! (I only had
one real problem with it - the
"lazy" line!!!LOL!!! She must have
been confused or just really
desperate to find a word to
rhyme!!)
I LOVE YOU MOM!!! xoxoxoxo"You're a Lady Now"
Seems not so long ago,
I held you in my arms just so,
I looked in your eyes and watched you smile,
And would hold you and hold you for such a long while. You grew and you grew and became so pretty,
And have the 'humour' that is oh so witty.
I've scolded and lectured and drove you crazy...
But you must admit, You are a little lazy. We're happy, we're proud as we can be,
That you're still going to school farther than we,
And one day you'll look at me and say,
You're advice and knowledge really did pay.We love you more than words can speak,
And know you'll climb the highest peak.
You're a lady now, and just want to say,
May you have the Happiest 18th Birthday!~Kire's Mom~
