POEMS & PRAYERS

Marc's Eulogy by Margaret Quinn

Marc may have been with us for only a short time,
Yet he is easier to eulogize than many who have lived a full life

It was certainly evident that Marc was a full blooded Irishman!
He had more fight in him than the Doctors at any one of the hospitals knew was possible

In true Quinn fashion, he was always posing with at least one fist clenched
which gave us the nod that he was not about to give up easily.

Anyone who is a Quinn, or those of us who married into the family,
are certainly proud to call Marc "one of our own".

His peacefulness was as pronounced as his toughness,
a real tribute to one who fought such a courageous battle.

In his lifetime, Marc was blessed with the one thing that counts the most in life...
The very best of parents, Marc and Sandra

There was noting more or less they could have done,
and knowing that will help them through these very tough days ahead

We can all continue to alk why, but we will never get an answer to that question.
Instead, we must accept this mystery of life, gather every bit of faith that we can,
believe that there was a purpose,
and be forever grateful that there was a baby Marc Quinn.

Hold Us Up Lord
(Chosen & Read by Marc's Grandfather)

Lord, we know you're always busy,
For you have many things to do,
But when sorrow overcomes us,
well, we need to talk to you

For we've lost someone precious,
And they're with you above,
And its someone that we needed,
And its someone that we loved.

We are feeling lost and all alone,
And though we do believe,
We need you, Lord, to hold us up,
To help us while we grieve.

Please give us strength and courage, Lord,
To bear what we must bear,
And nudge us when our faith is weak,
To remind us you are there.

Give us hope for our tomorrows,
Tell us life will still go on,
Show us, Lord, that all this darkness
Will be followed by the dawn

You have led us through so many things
you've pulled us through before,
Hold us up, Lord, till we're through this
And we are strong once more.
