FIRST GENERATION

1. Christian SCHLAUCH Immigrated in 1772?. He was a in Farmer. He was in German Reformed. As of this date, August 5, 1994, the only proof I have that John Schlauch is the son of this Christian Schlauch is a baptismal record from the Heidelberg Reformed Church. The birth date of John matches and this church is on the border between Lancaster and Berks County. Christian lived a few years in the early 1800's in western Berks County, specifically Maxatawney Township. I have no other information on him. A Christian Schlauch did immigrate in 1772 through Philadelphia. I have no proof that this was he. The family says we are related to Mathias Slough (Schlauch). If that is the case, Christian probably was born in Pennsyvania and was either a cousin or nephew of Mathias.
