the Garage
Welcome to the Garage. This is my page for my husband. I call it the "Garage" because that's where my dear husband spends a lot of his free time. Come on in and meet my soldier.
My husband Mike is a Maintenance Test Pilot.   He flies OH-58D, Kiowa Warriors.   He has been flying for 6 years now.   He really loves to fly, but I think he gets almost as much satisfaction out of keeping the aircraft flying.   Before he went to Flight School, Mike was a parachute rigger in the Aerial Delivery or "Heavy Drop" Platoon. He rigged heavy equipment (humvees, tanks and howitzers) to be dropped out of airplanes.   He liked being a rigger, but he really wanted to fly.
Mike is a wonderful husband and a terrific father.   Mike puts in long hours at work but he always manages to make time for me and the boys.   Cody and Tyler are both daddy's boys, they love him and miss him very much when he is away.   Mike likes to mess around with the computer and he likes to fly his remote controlled helicopter, but next to spending time with me and the boys his most favorite thing to do is ride his motorcycle.   It's a 1999 Harley Davidson, Heritage Springer.   It is a beautiful motorcycle and I often tease him that it's his 3rd child (he doesn't argue).   If he is at home and I can't find him upstairs, he can usually be found in the garage cleaning or polishing it, but I don't mind.
I love my soldier very much, I love him for being my husband and for being a great father and I love him for the sacrifices he makes for us, but I love him most of all for being my best friend.
