Hi Katie. Your friend, Mr. Ball, gave me your webpage address. He bought the property right next to our house and Woody and Holly live there. I have a little girl named Victoria who is 5 years old and she loves to visit, feed, pet and ride Woody. Holly is still pretty new to the whole people/horses thing but she's learning from Woody. I think part of it is that she's jealous that he's getting so much attention and love! Woody is a very special friend to Victoria and she loves him. We will keep in touch and maybe get some pictures of Victoria or Bradley (Victoria's little brother) with Woody and Holly and send them to you. I hope you're feeling better soon. Mr. Ball said you've been very sick for the past few days. We will be praying for you. We know a little what it is like to have a rare disease. My mom has a disease called Webber Christian Disease that is hard to diagnose and treat. She was finally diagnosed when I was two years old after years of being sick. My husband and I have just found out that our daughter Eclipse has CdLS in a mild form and we are very happy to find another person with the same condition. Eclipse was born on the Eclipse last year on 11 August 1999. She weighed only 3.9lbs and was only 5cms long she had a head and heart condition and trouble with her breathing. Finally yesterday we were told that she has a mild form of CdLS. Here in England we haven,t yet had much support and are very unsure what we should be doing to help eclipse to progress and we would welcome any help and support you may be able to offer.We found your website very interesting and comforting to read. Katie is such a beautiful girl. Our daughter Rosie is 7 and has Cdls she has the clasical form Weighed 3lb20z at birth and at 7 only weighs 24lb. Rosie had severe reflux and had a fundoplication at 2 1/2 yrs this changed her life completely. We agonized o er wether to let her have the surgery as we were told that there was a high possability of her not pulling through. However she would not of lived long as she was and we had to give her a chance. She is a real fighter though and coped really well. Two day after surgery she sat up for the first time and from then on we lost our rag doll and gained a real baby. She has gone on to prove all the Drs wrong and the little girl we were told was "deaf blind, totally unresponsive and would never achieve anything" s now communicating with a computer and reading attending mainstream school half a day a week and keeping up with her peers there in literacy and numeracy. She is still very prone to infection and has a misterious bowel problem where she has serious bouts of diarreah causing her to suddenly dehydrate. Otherwise she is justour girl sometimes wonderful and sometimes so naughty you would cheerfully put her out with the rubbish. Always cheeky and a wicked sense of humour. Hope you don't mind me going on but I have only just found the group and am revelling in contacting people who understand. Katie my daughter Alexandria May was born friday August 13th. Shewa s born with a genetic disorder called Killians Pallister Syndrmoe. She died about 30 minutes after birth. Hello Katie, I know how you feel. I too am suffering with a disabilaty, I am deaf and am losing my eye sight too. Doctors say at this rate I'll be the next Hellen Keller.
