Notes:
While Mr. Knudsen is not a direct relative, I want to include him here for historical purposes. Mr. Knudsen was a Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company pioneer. He made the final splice on the first transcontinental telephone line at Wendover, Utah on June 17, 1914. He started work as a repairman in the company's Berkeley, California office in 1913 for wages of $2.55 a day "plus beans."
