He was born on December 11, 1949. He Died on June 29,1986. What he did in betweyen, makes him a Hero , in my eyes.
He was always protective of us girls as we grew up. He was kind and polite, and always made us laugh. He graduated High School in 1968.
Started College, and decided to enlist, rather than be drafted. He was in Viet Nam for 1yr. 11 mo. and 8 days.
He married Phylis Goldsmith on June 23,1974. He spent 14 yrs. 2 mo. and 16 days in the Army Reserves.
 They have one son.
He was Honorably Discharged when he could no longer participate in the weekend duty, because he was dyeing of Cancer.

He wasn't drafted, he joined... He did not think twice when he asked to be sent back to Vietnam (he felt that he knew what to expect, and a new kid might not make it.
He earned a few medals along the way...
Marksman M-14
Vietnam Campaign Medal
Three Overseas Bars
Vietnam Service Medal
National Defense Service Medal
