How-To (Query)
There are a number of websites that provide free access to post queries (a short question phrased to the genealogical public asking for information regarding surname(s) of interest). Always include as much information as possible including dates even if they are estimates; these can be abbreviated as ca (circa) or abt (about). The more sites your query is entered the better chance you have of receiving a response. Be aware that entering extremely common names such as my surname of JOHNSON may generate overwhelming responses.
