Great frog page. We can't wait until winter is over and my frogs stop hibernating long enough to enjoy it along with us. Right now it is January in Vermont and the frog kids are rather disgustd with the whole snow thing. They think if they sleep enough it will go away. i'm starting to think they may be right.

I love your page, but I think that you should add games!
*** If you go to the "Links" area on this site (towards the bottom)
there is a list of online froggy games (but for most, you will need
a Shockwave plug in, or a JAVA enabled browser).

is it okay to have the frogs water pool elevated. I found this neat pool that hangs suspended in the air by suction cups it's made by Zoo Med
*** This seems like a good idea, but just make sure that the suction
cups will be able to support the weight of the pool, water, and a frog.

I think your web page is really great. It is the first page that I have seen that is truely devoted to whites tree frogs. I am about to be the owner of two whites after xmas. I need two names though and if you could i would like to know how you have y ur tank set up.
*** Congratulations on your soon to be frogs!!! :)
A tank set up for a White's can be a little confussing. Most books
and people have their own idea on the "proper" set up. "The Complete
Treefrog Home Page" (listed in the links section of this site), has
some nice set ups listed.
I have a 35 gal. tank, with a small gravel base (about 3" deep), covered by
about 3" of moss. I have two water dishes; one lava rock (expensive) and
one plastic (about a 20th of the price of the lava rock dish). The frogs
seem to like both. I have a bunch of tree limbs and plastic plants
the the frogs like to climb on and hide in. I also use a "Vitalite" full
spectrum light set on a timer.
Some quick pointers on a good tank set up are:

- Have enough space for you frogs
- Always have a source of clean dechlorinated water
- White's need a "hiding" place when they feel threatend.
- Their environment should always be clean.
- Climate control is a must (between 68 and 80 degrees Farenheit)
- Feed regularly, but try not to over feed.
- Remember to treat you White's with loving care. The life expectancy of
a White's is longer than that of a cat or a dog. So with
proper parenting of a White's, you will have these cute
little pets for a long time.

Here's an idea, Let's make a compilation of all White's Treefrog information (Web sites, et. al) We can find on the net. Good idea? I think so. I've tried so hard to find stuff. Occasionally simething comes up, this page took me days to find, but it's my favorite, so it was worth the effort. Any others out there Wholly devoted to my favorite pet , the White's Treefrogs?
*** This is a great idea!!!! ...and to tell you the truth, this is the
foundation in which this web page was born. Since I became the loving parent of
two cute White's tree frogs, I could find very little information on the Internet,
and books about the care and well being of White's. Thus, I decided to start a web
page of my own. I will be adding a new contest (as soon as I can decide on a prize(s)
for links devoted to White's tree frogs. Hopefully, this will will encourage
people design their own White's web pages (hey, it's free through Geocities).

This is a GREAT idea! People think I'm crazy when I tell them that I've just bought 2 beautiful young White's tree frogs. It's nice to know that there are other frog people out there. It's also nice to see pictures of Kermit and Peabody - they look jus like my frogs. Now I can stop worrying about the color differences in them. Thanks!!!
*** White's are GREAT pets (and family members). Believe it or not,
these people who think you are crazy, are misled. Amphibians make great pets.
...and by having one for a pet, you are preserving nature. With the ever growing
expansion of man, it is limiting the space and clean environment for our beloved little
friend, the amphibian. It is great to see so many people who decide to adopt and care for
a frog as a pet.

Sorry to bother you again....but i was just curious on how big of a aqaurium setup do you have? the pictures of kermit and peabody make it look quite large?. what types of things are in the setting. and what type of ground cover do you have?
*** I have a 35-40 gal. tank that is full of froggy things ( tree limbs,
a bunch of foliage, a hollow log, water dishes, etc.). For a ground cover
I use small gravel as a substate, covered with a thick layer of moss.

If you red the first 2 comments I wrote just ignore them because I tried to take them of but I couldn't. I just discovered that my frog is a white lipped tree frog.
*** Ahhh, a White lipped tree frog (Litoria infrafrenata).
The White lipped tree frog is actually very similar to the White's tree frog
(Litoria caerulea). Most of the information on this site relating
to White's, should also hold true for White lipped tree frogs. Although,
White lipped's are less tolerent to cold, and require more humidity than White's.

*** I am very sorry to hear of the passing of "Sampson."
Congratulations on "Anerear." Green tree frogs are cute (not as cute
as a White's, but then again, I am bias). :)

I THINK THAT YOUR PAGE IS GREAT. DO YOU EVER THINK OF GETTING MORE FROGS? I HAVE THREE WHITE'S TREE FROGS. THEY ARE ROMEO, JULIET, AND BENVOLIO.!
*** Thank you. I would LOVE to get more frogs. Personally
I think they make great pets. Unfortunatly my housing situation
is a bit too small to add more tanks.... and the last thing I want
to do is over crowd my beloved little froggy friends.
