Agreement-For-Posting
Prior
to posting in the Infantilist's Support Club Forum, please signify
whether or not you are willing to abide by terms listed in this
Agreement For Posting. You can signify this by clicking
on the appropriate button at the bottom of this page. |
- Age Requirements for Forum Observing: I understand
that if I am younger than 13 years old, I am welcome to observe
the Forum, but not to post there.
- Age Requirements for Forum Posting: If I intend
to do any posting, I understand that I must be at least 13 years
old or older.
- Posts Made on a First Name Basis: I understand that my participation in the
Infantilist's Support Club Forum is to be on a first name basis
only (initials of last names may be given occasionally when needed
to avoid confusion.)
- Spam Posts Not Allowed: I agree not to use this site for any types
of advertising, spamming, or commercial purposes.
- Forum Topics Directly Related to
Infantilism: I agree
to enter the forum with the primary aim of working with and on
issues directly related to infantilism.
- Honesty and Frankness Required in
Posts: I agree to be
honest about myself while in the Forum. I understand that
the Forum is a place to come to a better understanding of the
reality of my situation and nothing less. Posters who may
resort to fantasy without first duly identifying it as such,
or who may wish to use this Forum as a means to pursue such fantasies,
may be asked to refrain from further posting in this Forum.
- This Forum Takes a Primarily Rational
and Practical Approach to Solutions:
I understand that this Forum is
meant to provide an atmosphere based on rationality, mutual respect
and open-mindedness. While discussions of such intangible
qualities as Faith, Hope, and Love, are also welcome, they are
welcome only in as much as they might actually serve to promote
these very qualities, rather than to cause divisiveness within
the Forum. I recognize that there are certain inherent
difficulties that must be overcome when attempting to use our
very limited and tangible human languages to define the properties
of such real but intangible qualities. Recognizing these
inherent difficulties, I agree to do my best to be fully sensitive
to the possibility that any such discussions within the framework
of this Forum, about any such intangible qualities may sometimes
prove to be in bad taste, or to be offensive to other Forum participants.
I further agree that should I be asked to move any such
conversation regarding such intangible qualities that is beginning
to prove more divisive than healing, to another more suitable
place, then I will gladly do so. Other more suitable places
for such topics might sometimes be in the Overcoming Infantilism Support Group, or via
a private email correspondence.
- He Who Prefers Volume Over Reason
Is Probably a Loudmouth: I
understand that as a Forum participant, I will be expected to
be prepared to uphold my own views with a reasonable argument,
should my views be challenged. I realize that a personal
attack is never a suitable substitute for a well reasoned argument.
- Flaming Attacks Not Welcomed Here: I understand that if I might tend to consistently
and regularly prefer to resort to personal attacks against individuals
instead of first always trying to use a logical analysis of the
discussion at hand to clarify my own views, should my logic not
seem to be prevailing, then I may be asked to refrain from such
types argumentation in this Forum (called "flaming attacks"
in netspeak).
- If You Can Dish It Out, You Should
Be Able To Take It Too: I
understand that as a Forum participant, I will be expected to
be willing to receive advice, just as readily as I might
be happy to give it to others.
- There Are No Experts Here: I understand that as a Forum participant,
I am expected to participate in this Forum based on the premise
that there are no bonafide experts on this subject, and neither
are there any bonafide idiots on it. We are all here
to learn more about it in the atmosphere of a mutually respectful
debate and discussion.
- Forum Administrators Reserve the
Ultimate Power (Hah!): I
understand that should I be found by the forum administrators
to post in a manner which disregards these rules, the forum administrators
reserve the right to delete any such posts from the forum, and/
or (in extreme cases only) to block me entirely from entering
posts onto the forum.
