Peace descending
how long will it last
hoping it won’t end
insight saying
it is just a temporary respite,
 from the past
the littles inside giggling and content
no longer wanting to hide
all bubbly and exhubrient
warmth spreading throughout
turmoil being pushed down
hoping we can squash the doubts
desperately seeking ways
to make this endure
so scared we can’t keep
the monsters at bay
opening ourselves up
allowing us to become vulnerable
awareness dawning,
we now have a sword
