This deed was sold almost 3 years after Asa AYRES first purchased this land on 2 March 1786.
Note that the recorder used the surname spelling of "Ayers" rather than "Ayres" which is
usually associated with this family. Although, a few of Asa's descendants DID adopt the
surname spelling of "Ayers," as has been documented from obituaries, tombstones &
other family records.
Family records state that when Asa's youngest son Buenos AYRES was age 10 - in 1810
Asa AYRES took his family to live on the newly opened Connecticut Western Reserve in Ohio.
I have been able to locate two deeds for Asa in Ohio in 1821 & 1828.
Note that "f" is the old style of writing for the letter "s" and sometimes for double "ss."
Quite a few abbreviations were used - where "sd" means "said" and so on.
