Terry's 3M's

Meditations, Mutterings, Madness

October 28, 1997

I'm writing this offline tonight because either Geocities, or my isp is slow tonight and I'm afraid the program will freeze before I get it done.

I love Navigator 4's personalized settings and bookmarks on the toolbar. I HATE the way it freezes when Java starts.

Kids. One minute I love them, the next minute I...well, never mind. ;) My son is ready for bed and we say prayers. A kiss goodnight is exchanged. The next half hour is a nightmare of trying to get the boys to settle down and go to sleep. I hear loud giggling, the fighting, then bedsprings.

"John Paul, stop jumping on that bed and GET TO SLEEP!" "I'm not jumping on the bed, Mom." Yeah, right.

Tonight, the front door opened and my son went out with the girls (in their nightshirts!) went flying out after him. Of course, I had to go out to call them in and find out what all the ruckus was about.

My son, the 7 year old, had written a letter to the latest of his loves, a little girl named Cassidy. He stuck it in an envelope (without an address or stamp, of course), and was going out to stick in the mailbox. The others were trying to stop him from actually trying to mail it!

He was inspired by his 10 year old cousin. Bryan had written a letter to the love of his life (this school year). He told her that he thought she was cute and that his desk was 13 steps from hers. If she guesses who wrote the note, she is to reply by leaving a message in a secret spot.

A young man's thoughts turn to love in the spring. Apparently, a young boys thoughts turn to love in autumn. :)
