Terry's 3M's: Meditations, Mutterings, Madness

Terry's 3M's

March 13, 1998

With all the superstitions about Friday the 13th being a day of bad luck, I have found just the opposite. Friday the 13th is usually a day of good luck for me and today was no exception.

If you're a regular reader, you know that my online activities have been greatly curtailed over the past several months. During the time that I have spent on the computer, I had focused on several things other than these pages. I have tried to keep up with the mail on a regular basis; but, other than that I haven't been online very much.

During one of my periods online, I went looking for new backgrounds for these journal pages as it was/is my intention to change the backgrounds on a monthly basis. One of the places that I wanted to search was the site where I found this background. I clicked on my logo and went nowhere. The site was gone.

Today I decided that it was time to repay some of the visits to my site over the past few months by using the guestbook entries. The first place I visited had a link to the site I was looking for. I'm also lucky because the site has moved again and the link to the new page was on the page where I was sent.

I am so far behind in visiting guest book entries--it's not even funny. The entry I visited today was written 2 days before Christmas! I am going to try to visit several each day that I am online until I get caught up.

In spite of the fact that I haven't read all that many books this year,I still have been reading. For instance, I haven't listed all the cookbooks that I have been reading. I am also trying to read through a lot of the stories that I downloaded last year from alt.startrek.creative which is a newsgroup where Star Trek fan fiction is posted.

I was printing out the stories for a while. However, I realized that I could go broke buying ink and paper. Now I have lots of floppies with lots of reading material. There are enough stories to keep someone reading from now until next year and beyond. (Not to mention the briefcase full of stories that I DID print out.)

While I have corrected the address behind the banner below, I still have many more pages on which to correct that address. So, if you'll excuse me.....

Thanks to loli for the border background set.
