In the name of God amen, I William Henslee of the county of Caswell and the state of NC being in a low state of health but of sound sense and memory, thanks be to God, for the hoping but taking into consideration the shotness and uncertainty of this transitory life and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, and being desirous to put my affairs into order do institute and ordain this my last will and testament to be performed in manner and form following:

And first I commit my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it to me and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors whom I shall hereafter appoint and as to such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to bestow in this life, I dispose of them as follows (Vizr) I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Mallory, daughter of Sarah Mallory, fifteen pounds in North Carolina currency. I also give and bequeath to Susannah West fifteen pounds in North Carolina currency and the rest of my estate I leave to be divided equally amongst the whole of my brothers and sisters or their heirs and assigns.

Lastly, I nominate and appoint my brothers John Henslee and David Henslee whole and sole executors of this my last will and testament to be performed revoking and disannulling all and every other will or wills by me heretofore made.

In witness whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of October 1793.
