Hi, my name is Lexi, that's short for Alexys you know. I am 9 months old. I have 2 older brothers and their names are Devvon and Nicholas.

I was born on May 19,1999. Mommy says that I was just a little thing because all I weighed was 6lbs. 13ozs, and I was 18" long.

I was born with a reflux problem that caused me to stop breathing. Boy that was scarey!!!! One day we were at Auntie Verna's & Uncle Rick's house for a cookout and I started getting fussy so my Memere picked me up. When she picked me up my face was blue and I couldn't breath. Everybody got so scared and they called 911. Mommy was holding me but when the ambulance got there Mommy gave me to Memere because she was crying. My Memere had to hold an oxgyen mask over my tiny face so the paramedics could take my pulse and blood pressure. They put me in the ambulance and took me to the hospital and I had to be put on a monitor till I was 6 months old. The monitor would buzz real loud when I would stop breathing. I finally grew out of that reflux thingy, now I am much better.


I have learned how to crawl and I love playing in Mommy's tupperware cupboard. I will crawl to the kitchen and open that cupboard and sometimes I even get in there to play. That is so much fun, 'specially when I throw the bowls out on the kitchen floor and Mommy has to pick them up. I think I get that from my big brother, Devvon. Mommy says that when he was a little baby he would get into the pot and pans cupboard and make a lot of noise banging on the pans. Mommy says that plastic bowls don't make as much noise as those pans did.....

I have my first tooth now. Boy, did that hurt when it came in!! It looks like I will be getting more too, 'cause my gums are all swollen and they hurt.

Know what my Mommy did???? She let some lady put holes in my ears and then she put something they call earrings in the holes!!! I was mad at my Mommy at the time but now I kinda like those earring things. Maybe someday I can get some little 'diamond' earrings. Are you listening Daddy???? My daddy will buy me anything 'cause he loves me. Right, Daddy???

Well, that is about all I have to tell you for now. When I learn how to do something new, I am sure my Memere will help me put it on this page. I think I will go take a nap now. Nite-Nite. :-)

My Memere is here....YIPPEE!!!! I love it when my Memere comes to visit. She made me something that she calls pancakes and it is the first time in my whole life that I have eaten pancakes. They were fluffy and so good... She even made homemade syrup to put o them. They were yummy!!!

I don't know why but when I make funny face she laughs at me.. I just have to look at her and wrinkle up my forehead and made my eyes real real BIG and she laughs so hard!!!!!

Memere made me a new sweater and bonnet when she was here and they are so pretty. I think I will wear them for Easter.

Well, it's nappy time---gotta go now.

5-13-00 We went all the way to my Memere's house today to surprise her for Mother's Day. Mommy said it took 5 hours to get there, I don't know what a hour is but she said it was a long time. When we got to my Memere's my brother Devvon knocked on the door and yelled "Surprise, Memere," when she opened it. She didn't know who to hug and kiss first so she grabbed Devvon and gave him a big hug and kiss. She couldn't hug Nick because he ran into the living room to play with my cousins Alex and Mason, so she grabbed me from Mommy's arms and she kissed me and hugged me and hugged me and kissed me some more. Boy, was she happy to see all of us!

My birthday is coming up on Friday and I will 1 year old. On Sunday Memere made me something she called a Birthday cake. I have never tasted cake before but it is so good. It was brown and had brown stuff on it. Mommy said that was frosting... Memere gave me the whole thing... And I just put my hands in it and stared at it for a minute and thought, hmmm, maybe I put this in my mouth. So I tried putting in my mouth and ya know what it is Yummy!!! I wish Mommy would give me cake every day. We just got home from that 5 hour thing and I am so tired I think I will take a nap... nite-nite.

I knew it.... I knew it.... Mommy and Daddy bought me a new pair of earrings. And guess what? They are DIAMONDS!!!!!! I told you my Daddy would buy 'em for me; just 'cause I am Daddy's little girl... Oh yeah, Mommy helped and picked them out for me. Ok, gotta go now. I am trying to walk and doing a good job of it too. Gotta go practice. See ya soon.
