Art is a very important component of CCS's overall program. It is used in conjunction with thematic units and integrated learning programs, as well as on its own. Many reluctant learners find their first 'successes' coming within the art field.

The Crestone/Baca community has a plethora of artists and crafts people to use as mentors or support. We have entertained projects such as: basket weaving, pottery, puppet making, costuming, set design, sculpture, charcoal, watercolors, solar prints, drawing, perspectives, etc.
