These families lived in the Coventry
- Kenilworth - Offchurch area of Warwickshire (WAR)
England from about 1790 to the 1850s.
Richard Dillon and Mary Sympson, married in the parish church at Stoneley [Stoneleigh], Warwickshire [midway between Coventry and Royal Leamington Spa], on 8 January 1749G [1748J] , were probably the parents of:
Note that these children appear to have been born some years after the marriage of Richard and Mary.
Thomas Worrall and Bridget Cotteril married in the Radford Semele parish church on 14 January 1754G. They were the parents of:
Another Elizabeth <Worril> was christened on 19 December 1779 at Leamington, the child of Thomas and Hannah Worril. An Eliz Worrall married a Wm Townsend at Stoneleigh on 11 October 1785.
Thomas
Worrall, born circa circa
1761 (possibly
the son of THOMAS WORRALL and BRIDGET COTTERIL), married Jane Dillam
in the Stoneleigh parish church on 28 December 1785. Jane, born circa
1761, was probably the daughter of RICHARD DILLON and MARY SYMPSON of Stoneleigh,
although born perhaps 10-15 years after their marriage. [An Eliz Worrall had
married a Wm Townsend at Stoneleigh on 11 October 1785, the seventh marriage
prior to Thomas and Jane].
While at Green Lane, Stoneleigh, Thomas and Jane were the parents of at least
seven children:
Jane
the wife of Thomas Worrall, labourer of Stoneley, was buried aged 58 years at
Stoneleigh on 16 June 1819.
Thomas Worrall, labourer of Stoneleigh aged 63 years, was buried at Stoneleigh
on 30 July 1824.
A William Marsters was baptised at Stoneleigh later in 1803, son of Thomas and
Mary Marsters thereof.
William Worrall, son of THOMAS WORALL and JANE DILLAM, married Elizabeth Jarvis on 14 June 1818 at Stoneleigh; both were of the parish of Stoneleigh though it appears that Jane had been born at Preston Baggot WAR [Preston Bagot, about 9m west of Royal Leamington Spa] circa 1794. William and Elizabeth Worrall were the parents of at least nine children:

If Jane was the daughter of Richard Dillon and Mary Sympson, she probably
had siblings born 1749-1760.
Í Perhaps Mary was Mary Gibson who married a Thomas Worrall on 26 Jan
1823 at Holy Trinity, Coventry.
|| John and Jane Batcheldor emigrated with their three first-born sons, sailing
from Plymouth ENG 22 June 1859 aboard the Abyssinian, arriving Sydney NSW 20

Jane was baptised in 1832 at nearby Kenilworth. The 1851 census has a Kenilworth-born Jane Worrell, aged 20 and unmarried, working in the household of Baron Cave at Townpool Bridge, Kenilworth: as a scullery maid, she occupied possibly the lowest position in the household staff of thirteen. Jane married John Batcheldor, son of Joseph Batchelor and Elizabeth Boys, in Kenilworth on 17 June 1851; Martha Worrall, conjecturally Jane's older sister, was a signatory witness at Jane's wedding.
