Root Beer Taste Comparison

On December 24th, 2004 the time came to gather 'round the television, watch the Christmas Eve Vikings vs Packers game, and consume copious amounts of root beer in a scientific taste comparison.

Our test was "blindfolded style", where the very helpful Lena Lee poured root beer in the adjacent room into paper dixie cups and brought out our samples.  Additionally, she noted the foam and head content of each sample.

Once we had the samples, we judged the root beers on bouquet, taste, and flavor, and providing a general score.  Between tastes, club crackers were strongly recommended - although not strictly enforced - as palette cleansers.

Thus, our scores reflect the flavor values of each product, without regard to name brand nor price.  The results are somewhat surprising.
