Christmas postcards:
Millions of people send Christmas greeting cards
(in 1998 in the Netherlands 200 million cards were sent).
There are many lovely cards you can buy in the stores
(I saw them already in September! We just got back from
summer holiday!).
The last few years I made (almost) all the cards we sent myself
know if I can manage that this year).
I used all sorts of materials and techniques.
Embroidery, paperpricking, embossing, stamping
(I put gold colored powder on the stamp while it is
still wet and then heat it above
the toaster, that gives I very nice effect).
Lately I started to learn Pergamano technique,
you can make very beautiful cards with this technique
(but it is rather difficult at first to do).
Mostly I use the origami technique, not with origami
paper, but with the paper wrappings of teabags.
There are many nice wrappings, with the images of fruits etc.
I cut out little pieces of paper out of it (3x3 or 4x4 cm)
and fold stars, wreaths or Christmas trees out of it.
I need a lot of tea wrappings for it, because for one star
or wreath I need about 10 or more papers.
But a lot of people help me collecting the wrappings.
I now have two shoeboxes full, sorted by type and image.

You can also send your internet friends a Christmas E-card.
Below are some links to sites where you can choose one.
As far as I know, they are all for free.
(we Dutchmen like it when it is for free *lol*)
